Data on recreational activities, respondents' values, land use preferences, protection level and biodiversity in nature-based tourism areas in Finland. | LitMetric
We present the first dataset that can be used to associate peoples' opinions with comprehensive biodiversity and cultural heritage values. The socio-ecological dataset includes 1) place-based information on peoples' recreational activities, values expressed as pleasant and unpleasant sites, and negative preferences concerning land use in terms of tourism, nature protection and forestry, and 2) compiled information on scored biodiversity values and protection level of sites. The data are organized in 1ha grid cells. The data were compiled from a rural nature-based tourism area in two municipalities northern Finland. Peoples' opinions were assessed using a public participation geographic information system (PPGIS) and the data were merged with spatial biodiversity data from the same area. The data are directly related to the article Tolvanen et al. [1]. Biodiversity data, also utilized in Tolvanen et al. 2020, were compiled from various sources and scoring was done in Kangas et al. [2]. References to individual respondents and spatial locations of markings were removed. The data are useful in evaluating the relationship between people's values and biodiversity.
Purpose: Young adults report challenges concerning cancer--related cognitive impairment (CRCI). This study aimed to: (1) describe cognition in young adults post-cancer treatment using self-report and performance-based measures, and (2) examine associations between cognition and relevant disease-related, psychological, and lifestyle (physical activity; PA) factors.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the sleep characteristics, circadian rhythms, behavior, and postnatal development of children with and without language difficulties (LDs) and the association of these variables with melatonin-containing food (FMT) consumption. The study involved parents who anonymously and voluntarily provided their children's personal data and assessed LDs, bedtime, meal timing, behavioral problems, gross motor skill development, and FMT consumption. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the associations between study variables.
In many clinical contexts, the event of interest could occur multiple times for the same patient. Considerable advancement has been made on developing recurrent event models based on or that use biomarker information. However, less attention has been given to evaluating the prognostic accuracy of a biomarker or a composite score obtained from a fitted recurrent event-rate model.
Many trials are designed to collect outcomes at or around pre-specified times after randomization. If there is variability in the times when participants are actually assessed, this can pose a challenge to learning the effect of treatment, since not all participants have outcome assessments at the times of interest. Furthermore, observed outcome values may not be representative of all participants' outcomes at a given time.
In this study, we examine how Danish general practitioners (GPs) and general practice staff have fitted their use of video consultation to align with their conceptualisations of good care. Political stakeholders are repeatedly encouraging the use of video consultation in the healthcare sector, discursively referring to optimised use of healthcare resources, increased efficiency and flexibility for and geographical equality among patients. By the end of 2024, it will be mandatory for GPs to offer video consultations to patients in Danish general practice.
