Background: Pregnancy usually represents a risk factor for aortic dissection or thrombotic events, but therapeutic options are very scarce because the foetus limits the common approaches especially in the early stages of pregnancy.
Case Presentation: We present a challenging case of a young woman in her 16th week of gestation with an history of multiple abortions associated with autoimmune thrombophilia. A strictly designed perioperative management protocol was required to remove a huge right endoventricular mass, due to her decision to not terminate the pregnancy.
Conclusions: Nowadays the mother, completely healthy, gived birth to her baby so it demonstrates how cardiac surgery, even in complicated circumstances, can be feasible during pregnancy through a multidisciplinary approach.

Background: Frailty is a common geriatric syndrome worldwide, and its early identification and intervention have important clinical significance. Resistance training has been recommended as an efficient means to combat loss of muscle strength and mass; however, it is often not a prioritized option for older adults. Tai chi is a well-known traditional Chinese exercise that has a beneficial impact on physical performance, balance ability, metabolism, and immune function.

Background: Pre-eclampsia (PE) poses a significant threat to mothers and infants worldwide. Studies indicate that taking low-dose aspirin before the 16th week of pregnancy may prevent approximately 70 % of PE cases, highlighting the importance of predicting PE. Cell-free RNA (cf-RNA) exhibits significant changes in the maternal peripheral blood during early pregnancy, making cf-RNA analysis a promising and less invasive method for predicting PE.

Pharmacologic intervention in chronic heart failure (HF) with renal insufficiency is one of the clinical challenges due to the fact that the mechanisms of cardio-renal interactions in chronic heart failure (CHF) progressing have not been fully revealed. In this paper, C57BL/6 mice were applied thoracic aortic narrowing surgery to establish pressure overload CHF model. Cardiac function, serum markers, renal pathologic changes and kidney metabolism were analyzed at 4th, 8th, 12th, and 16th week after surgery respectively to evaluate the heart-Kidney pathologic overlap.

To investigate the changes in thyroid morphology and function in mice with thyroid-specific knockout of the clock gene Bmal1 under high-fat diet (HFD), and to examine its effects on glycolipid metabolism in mice. Construct a mouse model with specific knockout of the Bmal1 gene in the thyroid (T-Bmal1) (knockout group, =10), and use Bmal1 mice without thyroid peroxidase-cyclization recombination enzyme (T-Bmal1) as the control group (non-knockout group, =10). The mice were fed until 6 weeks (body weight 20-23 g), and then use the random number table method to evenly divide each group of mice into two subgroups.
