We aimed to explore physicians' experiences working with pharmacists in EDs, and their perspectives on future permanent collaboration. We conducted semi-structured interviews with twenty physicians from two EDs and analyzed the data using thematic analysis.

Importance: Environmental service workers (ESWs) have a critical role within the hospital infrastructure and are at the frontline of infection prevention. ESWs are highly trained in managing all forms of regulated waste, which includes biohazardous waste, and are responsible for the overall patient experience, janitorial work, and infection prevention. Without environmental services, patients have a 6 times greater risk of being infected by pathogens from patients who previously occupied their room.

The Hospital-Acquired Condition Reduction Program (HACRP), a Centers for Medicare and Medical Services (CMS) program, assesses hospital performance based on quality measures, including PSI-90, with financial implications for poor performers.
Objectives: To evaluate PSI events, establish workflows for accurate documentation, and foster collaboration across clinical and administrative teams, with the ultimate objective of reducing PSI events.
