Objective: To compare the knee shape and bone parameters between knee prosthesis products from overseas companies and a Chinese patient's knee, and to apply the anatomical basis for Chinese knee prosthesis design.
Methods: Three-dimensional digital models were built, including prosthesis products for a normal adult. The relevant anatomy index was measured, and physical parameter, radiographic, geometric, knee kinematic, and distal geometry data were collected on the femur and tibia.
Results: The width of the femoral condyle (WFC), width of the medial femoral condyle (WMFC), width of the lateral femoral condyle (WLFC), depth of the intercondylar fossa (DICF), sagittal length of the medial femoral condyle (SLMFC), sagittal length of the lateral femoral condyle (SLLFC), angle of the medial femoral condyle (AMFC), and angle of the lateral femoral condyle (ALFC) in the femur and the transverse diameter (ML) and anteroposterior diameter (AP) of the tibial bone were measured. These parameters were significantly lower in the normal group compared with the prosthesis product model group.
Conclusion: When using an imported knee prosthesis, the osteotomy angle may not fit perfectly. Use of an imported prosthesis may be an important factor in the increasing failure of knee arthroplasty in China.

Background: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) stress techniques-including single-leg stress radiographs, Telos, and KT-1000 arthrometer-are highly accessible and can provide additional diagnostic information to assess ACL and ACL graft integrity. The degree of anterior tibial translation (ATT) may be useful in guiding treatment when a diagnosis on magnetic resonance imaging is not conclusive or for judging if additional treatments, such as anterolateral complex augmentation, may be necessary.
Purpose/hypothesis: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of increasing posterior tibial slope (PTS) on baseline tibial position (BTP) and side-to-side differences (SSD) in ATT.

There is an increasing demand for a suitable bone substitute to replace current clinical gold standard autografts or allografts. Majority of previous studies have focused on the early effects of substitutes on bone formation, while information on their long-term efficacies remains limited. This study investigated the efficacies of natural hydroxyapatite (nHA) derived from oyster shells and synthetic hydroxyapatite mixed with collagen (COL/HA) or chitosan (CS/HA) on bone regeneration and implant fixation in sheep.

We evaluated the role of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)-related chronic gastritis in the development of osteoporosis in a population-based study. A total of 1690 subjects in the cohort of the Research on Osteoarthritis/ osteoporosis Against Disability (ROAD) were investigated, and the association between gastritis and osteoporosis was evaluated by the presence of serologically assessed H.

Background: Fractures of the long bones in the lower limbs are injuries that cause severe to extremely severe pain, posing risks to the patient's circulation, respiration, and even life. Pain management for patients with lower limb long bone fractures in the emergency department is critically important.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of ultrasound-guided femoral and sciatic nerve blocks in patients with lower limb long bone fractures in the emergency department (ED).

Patients undergoing dialysis are at risk of osteoporosis and sarcopenia because of mineral and bone disorders or malnutrition. Additionally, maintaining muscle mass is important to prevent osteoporosis. The psoas muscle mass index (PMI) was recently used to evaluate muscle mass.
