We describe a septal perforation repair technique aimed for moderate to large perforations, which involves a unilateral transpositional/rotational flap utilizing lateral nasal wall and inferior turbinate (IT) mucosa and a contralateral underlay porcine small intestinal submucosa mesh. The addition of IT mucosa as part of the unilateral lateral nasal wall mucoperichondrium/periosteal flap combined with a contralateral acellular matrix underlay optimizes the repair of larger perforations. The underlay acellular matrix acts as a scaffold for the regeneration of healthy mucoperichondrium akin to a tympanoplasty repair and reduces donor site morbidity.

Nasal airway obstruction is a frequent complaint in an otolaryngology clinic and is often multifactorial. Anatomic contributors may include a nasal septal deviation, inferior turbinate hypertrophy, and nasal valve compromise. Septoplasty and inferior turbinate reduction are one of the most common procedures performed by an otolaryngologist.

Purpose: To compare the nasolacrimal and nasal anatomical parameters in cases of acquired primary nasolacrimal duct obstruction and acute dacryocystitis.
Methods: The study included 62 eyes of 31 patients. The eyes were divided into three groups: Group A, comprising eyes presenting with acute dacryocystitis; Group B, comprising eyes with nasolacrimal duct obstruction but no previous episodes of dacryocystitis; and Group C, comprising eyes with an patent nasolacrimal duct.

Background: The success rate of chronic rhinitis surgery varies depending on the patients' factor and surgical method. While outcomes for nasal obstruction differ, the association between preoperative severity of other rhinitis symptoms, such as rhinorrhea, sneezing, and nasal itching, measured via the reflective total nasal symptom score (rTNSS) remains unevaluated.
Objective: To evaluate the association between the response rate to surgical treatment of chronic rhinitis and preoperative severity.

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are multipotent progenitor cells present in adult tissues that are recognized as promising candidates for cell therapy due to their ease of access, straightforward isolation, and capacity for bio-preservation with minimal loss of potency. However, the clinical application of MSCs faces significant challenges, such as donor site morbidity, underscoring the need for alternative sources. Recent studies have suggested that inferior turbinate tissues, which are commonly removed during turbinate surgery, may be a viable donor site for MSCs.
