CuCrO is one of the most promising p-type transparent conductive oxide (TCO) materials. Its electrical properties can be considerably improved by Mg doping. In this work, Cr-deficient CuCrO thin films were deposited by reactive magnetron sputtering based on 5 at.% Mg doping. The influence of Cr deficiency on the film's optoelectronic properties was investigated. As the film's composition varied, CuO impurity phases appeared in the film. The mixed valency of Cu/Cu led to an enhancement of the hybridization between the Cu and O orbitals, which further reduced the localization of the holes by oxygen. As a result, the carrier concentration significantly improved. However, since the impurity phase of CuO introduced more grain boundaries in Cu[CrMg]O, impeding the transport of the carrier and incident light in the film, the carrier mobility and the film's transmittance reduced accordingly. In this work, the optimal optoelectronic performance is realized where the film's composition is Cu[CrMg]O. Its Haacke's figure of merit is about 1.23 × 10 Ω.

Multi-resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence (MR-TADF) materials possess unique advantages of high-efficiency and narrowband emission, which have rapidly occupied an important position in the field of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). In recent years, significant advancements have been made in the development of MR-TADF materials, particularly in achieving spectral narrowing for high-color-purity OLED applications. Based on diverse MR-TADF molecular skeletons, this review summarizes the primary molecular strategies to narrow spectrum by suppressing structural relaxation and intermolecular interactions.

In this study, biopolymer composites based on chitosan (CS) with enhanced optical properties were functionalized using Manganese metal complexes and black tea solution dyes. The results indicate that CS with Mn-complexes can produce polymer hybrids with high absorption, high refractive index and controlled optical band gaps, with a significant reduction from 6.24 eV to 1.

Liquid-based encapsulation for implantable bioelectronics across broad pH environments.

Wearable and implantable bioelectronics that can interface for extended periods with highly mobile organs and tissues across a broad pH range would be useful for various applications in basic biomedical research and clinical medicine. The encapsulation of these systems, however, presents a major challenge, as such devices require superior barrier performance against water and ion penetration in challenging pH environments while also maintaining flexibility and stretchability to match the physical properties of the surrounding tissue. Current encapsulation materials are often limited to near-neutral pH conditions, restricting their application range.

Terahertz radiation patterns can be registered using various detectors; however, in most cases, the scanning resolution is limited. Thus, we propose an alternative method for the detailed scanning of terahertz light field distributions after passing simple and complex structures. Our method relies on using a dielectric waveguide to achieve better sampling resolution.
