The scientific literature of coronavirus-disease 2019 (COVID-19) is rapidly expanding. There is a growing evidence on the discrepancy between clinical symptoms and radiologic findings in many patients. This case report gives details about a patient with only mild symptoms but relatively severe radiological findings. The 75-year-old patient suffering from oncologic disease had a planned a F18-fluoro-deoxy-glucose positron-emission tomography/computer tomography scan with a routine oncological indication where incidental radiomorphologic findings of pneumonia suspect for COVID-19 were detected. After immediate isolation, the patient was transferred to the corresponding medical department, where further investigations verified the diagnosis of COVID-19. With this case, our aim is to raise the awareness for the importance of the instant evaluation of chest computer tomography series when performing planned imaging examination, especially in frail patients. With this practice, potential radiomorphologic findings of pneumonia suspect for COVID-19 could be identified in time, which fundamentally determines further patient management steps. Purpose: Pancreatic cancer (PDAC) is characterized by infiltrative, spiculated tumor growth into the surrounding non-neoplastic tissue. Clinically, its diagnosis is often established by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). At the invasive margin, tumor buds can be detected by histology, an established marker associated with poor prognosis in different types of tumors.

Background And Purpose: Currently, the antiangiogenic agent bevacizumab (BVZ) is used as a treatment option for high-grade glioma (HGG) patients. However, BVZ restores disruptions of the blood-brain barrier, which leads to the disappearance of contrast enhancement during radiological examinations and therefore complicates evaluations of treatment efficacy. This study aimed to investigate the radio-morphological features of recurrent lesions that newly appeared under BVZ therapy, as well as the utility of arterial spin labeling (ASL) perfusion imaging for evaluating treatment response and prognosis in HGG patients receiving BVZ.

Radiomorphologic profiles of nonsyndromic sagittal craniosynostosis.

Childs Nerv Syst

November 2023

Department of Descriptive and Clinical Anatomy, The Medical University of Warsaw, 5 Chalubinskiego St, 02004, Warsaw, Poland.

Purpose: Numerous classification systems of nonsyndromic sagittal craniosynostosis (NSC) are applied but none has gained a wide acceptance, since each classification is focused on distinct aspects of cranial dysmorphology. The goal of this study was to depict the most common combinations of radiomorphologic characteristics of NSC and to separate groups where the patients were morphologically similar to one another and at the same time significantly different from others.

Methods: The study was conducted on anonymized thin-cut CT scans of 131 children with NSC aged 1-12 months (mean age 5.
