Behçet's disease (BD) is a chronic, multisystemic, inflammatory disease characterised by recurrent mucocutaneous, ocular, musculoskeletal, central nervous system, gastrointestinal and vascular manifestations, which may affect blood vessels of any size (1). Venous involvement is more common, but arterial involvement accounts for the major cause of mortality (2, 3). Choosing the adequate technique and timing for correcting aneurysms in BD is still challenging. The authors report a case of a 37-year-old male patient with common carotid pseudoaneurysm at the time of diagnosis, which was successfully treated by an endovascular stent placement after adequate immunosuppression. A review of the literature about this issue was also done.

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and cerebrovascular diseases (CeVDs) are closely related vascular diseases, sharing common cardiometabolic risk factors (RFs). Although pleiotropic genetic variants of these two diseases have been reported, their underlying pathological mechanisms are still unclear. Leveraging GWAS summary data and using genetic correlation, pleiotropic variants identification, and colocalization analyses, we identified 11 colocalized loci for CVDs-CeVDs-BP (blood pressure), CVDs-CeVDs-LIP (lipid traits), and CVDs-CeVDs-cIMT (carotid intima-media thickness) triplets.

Objective: In recent years, the application of robotic assistance in diagnostic and therapeutic endovascular neurointerventional procedures has gained notable attention. In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we aim to evaluate the feasibility, safety, and current indications of robotic-assisted neurointerventions and to assess the degree of robotic assistance and reasons for unplanned manual conversion from robotic assistance.
Methods: We searched Medline, Scopus, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library databases following PRISMA guidelines and included studies with ≥ 4 patients reporting on robotic-assisted neurointerventions.

Objective: Hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIBD) is a leading cause of neonatal mortality, resulting in brain injury and persistent seizures that can last into the late neonatal period and beyond. Effective treatments and interventions for infants affected by hypoxia-ischemia remain lacking. Clinical investigations have indicated an elevation of nuclear factor of activated T cells 5 (NFAT5) in whole blood from umbilical cords of severely affected HIBD infants with epilepsy.
