Background: The present research work was done to evaluate the anatomical differences among selected species of the family Bignoniaceae, as limited anatomical data is available for this family in Pakistan. Bignoniaceae is a remarkable family for its various medicinal properties and anatomical characterization is an important feature for the identification and classification of plants.
Methodology: In this study, several anatomical structures were examined, including stomata type and shape, leaf epidermis shape, epidermal cell size, and the presence or absence of trichomes and crystals (e.

Aim: To investigate the nucleotide sequences associated with transposable elements carrying bla allelic variants as potential markers for the transmission of antimicrobial resistance genes between domestic animals, humans and the environment.
Materials & Methods: We conducted whole-genome sequencing and analyzed the nucleotide sequences of most abundant bla allelic variants (bla, bla, and bla) in commensal Escherichia coli ( = 20) from household members in Quito and uropathogenic E. coli (UPEC) ( = 149) isolated from nine clinics in Quito, Ecuador.

Diabetes (DM) can occur as a complication of acute, acute recurrent, or chronic pancreatitis, affecting more than 30% of adults with chronic pancreatitis. Data on the pathophysiology and management are limited, especially in pediatric population. Proposed mechanisms include insulin deficiency, insulin resistance, decreased pancreatic polypeptide, and possible beta-cell autoimmunity (in a small subset).

Background: Side-to-side microvascular anastomosis is the most difficult type of anastomosis. The best way to master microvascular anastomosis technique is deliberate practice in the microsurgical laboratory.
Methods: Three types of side-to-side microvascular anastomosis using the rat abdominal vessels were presented.
Introduction: Iatrogenic injury to the ilioinguinal nerve and its branches during anterior inguinal hernia repair is a cause of chronic inguinal pain in up to 12 % of patients undergoing this operation. The risk of nerve injury is high, given the nerves' relatively small caliber and strictly-confined space through which they pass. In the current report, we describe using a novel fluorescence imaging system developed to detect nerve autofluorescence in a 66-year-old man who presented with a left-sided Type II inguinal hernia and underwent inguinal hernioplasty.
