N-linked glycosylation is a post-translational modification that occurs on many proteins during biosynthesis. The profile of different glycans on the protein is a critical quality attribute of some recombinant biopharmaceutical proteins including monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). Methods for profiling glycan should be robust, fast, and sensitive. Isolating glycans from proteins and tagging a label on glycans is the most commonly used technique for glycan profiling. Currently, existing protocols for sample preparation can be complicated, time-consuming, and expensive, which can limit the wide adaptation of glycan profiling methods. As a further barrier to use, an expensive ultra-high-pressure liquid chromatography (UHPLC) system is frequently required for the profile. In this article, a low cost and easily-used workflow of sample preparation is coupled with a standard high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) system to achieve comparable results to UHPLC. The number of steps required in the protocol and the time, as well as the cost associated with the sample preparation, is significantly reduced, while maintaining robust analytical performance. We describe the creation and validation of a human serum IgG glycan library to be used as the calibration standard, and successful profiling of glycoforms from a variety of mAbs.

CT chest scans are commonly performed worldwide, either in routine clinical practice for a wide range of indications or as part of lung cancer screening programs. Many of these scans detect lung nodules, which are small, rounded opacities measuring 8-30 mm. While the concern about nodules is that they may represent early lung cancer, in screening programs, only 1% of such nodules turn out to be cancer.

It relies on the identification of chemical attribution signatures (CAS), including chemical markers such as residual synthetic precursors, impurities, reaction by-products and degradation products, or even metabolites. Undertaking CAS for chemical threat agents (CTA) can be used to provide an evidentiary link between the use of a given chemical and its precursor(s) to support forensic investigations.

Constructing oriented crystalline covalent organic framework (COF) membranes with controllable thickness for water purification is highly desirable. Herein, we present a simple and universal protocol to prepare high-quality COF membranes on the inner wall of a glass vessel using a diffusion/modulator dual-mediated solid-liquid/vapor interfacial synthesis strategy. By meticulous control of the solvent and temperature, a thin supersaturated spreading liquid layer was formed on the glass wall surface and served as a confined microreactor for incubating crystal nuclei.

Background: The objective of this study was to evaluate anaesthesia care professionals' perceptions and attitudes regarding the implementation and advancement of digital solutions in perioperative care.
Methods: Anaesthesia personnel working in public Swedish institutions where anaesthesia is administered were invited to respond to an online survey regarding their attitudes towards digitalization in the workplace and their perceptions of information provision and future digitalization within anaesthesia and surgical healthcare. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent-samples Kruskal-Wallis tests, and post-hoc pairwise comparisons.
