In this study, a rhodamine-acetylferrocene conjugate of RBFc was synthesized and then characterized using spectroscopy and single-crystal analysis. The chemosensor RBFc exhibited a marked colour change from colourless to pink after binding to Cu ions. Importantly, under the presence of the other competing cations in aqueous solution, only Cu ions caused spirolactam ring opening in rhodamine B in RBFc, resulting in an enhanced absorbance of ultraviolet light spectra and fluorescence spectra, as well as obvious shifts in cyclic voltammetry curves and differential pulsed voltammetry curves. The novel probe described in this manuscript provides an attractive approach for detecting Cu in the presence of other multisignals.

Cyclic voltammetry (CV) can be applied as a reliable method for the determination of chloride ions in a range from several to a couple hundred (about 200) ppm. Since the standard potential of chloride ion/gaseous chlorine is 1.36 V vs.

5-Fluorouracil (5-Fu) is the third-most often used chemotherapeutic medication and has been scientifically demonstrated to be effective in treating solid tumors, including colorectal, stomach, cutaneous, and breast cancers. When used in excess, it accumulates toxic metabolites, which can have deadly and very harmful effects on people, including neurotoxicity and the induction of morbidity. Therefore, sensitive and rapid analytical techniques for detecting 5-Fu in human blood serum are needed to enhance chemotherapy and forecast the possible adverse effects of 5-Fu residues in the human body.

Azithromycin (AM) is one of the prescribed drugs in pandemic medication treatment which has paid great attention. We developed in this study a simply modified carbon paste electrode (CPE) to detect AM using poly-threonine (PT). PT or similar polymers are used as carriers to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of AM.

This article describes the effect of non-stabilized magnetic particles FeO (nanoparticles aggregates) addition to the aqueous phase of the polarized liquid-liquid interface (LLI) on the interfacial ion transfer processes. LLI was formed between 1,2-dichloroethane and water solutions (1,2 DCE)|water. The synthesis of FeO magnetic particles (MPs) was achieved by the co-precipitation method, after which their appearance, size of aggregates, and zeta potential were assessed.

Developing economical, efficient, and earth-rich electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is quite challenging and ideal. We propose that [PWO] as the guest, due to its excellent reversible 18 electron-transfer capacity and redox properties, and then TM-BDC (TM = Ni, Co, Fe, BDC = 1,4-benzene-dicarboxylate) as the host make [PWO] packaged and not escape due to its porous structure. Benefiting from strong redox-competent interactions between [PWO] and porous structures of TM-BDC and full exposure of abundant active sites, three {PW}@TM-BDC composites exhibited excellent HER activity, with {PW}@Ni-BDC requiring 198 mV (overpotentials) and 104 mV/dec (Tafel slope) for HER.
