Background: Having a great amount of sedentary time is common among older adults and increases with age. There is a strong need for tools to reduce sedentary time and promote adherence to reduced sedentary time, for which eHealth interventions have the potential to be useful. Interventions for reducing sedentary time in older adults have been found to be more effective when elements of self-management are included.

After more than 15 years of decline, the Malaria epidemy has increased again since 2017, reinforcing the need to identify drug candidates active on new targets involved in at least two biological stages of the Plasmodium life cycle. The SUB1 protease, which is essential for parasite egress in both hepatic and blood stages, would meet these criteria. In this cross-sectional analysis, we explored how fluctuations in glycemic levels impact executive functions and psychosocial outcomes in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The goal was to understand the relationship between glycemic control and both neuropsychological and psychosocial health. We stratified participants into well-controlled and poorly controlled groups based on glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels and variability, including a healthy control group for comparison.
