Jiangsu Key Laboratory of New Drug Research and Clinical Pharmacy & School of Pharmacy, Xuzhou Medical University, Xuzhou, Jiangsu, 221004, People's Republic of China.

Purpose: Tacrolimus could induce hepatotoxicity during clinical use, and the mechanism was still unclear, which posed new challenge for the prevention and treatment of tacrolimus-induced hepatotoxicity. The aim of this study was to investigate the mechanism of tacrolimus-induced hepatotoxicity and provide reference for drug development target.

Methods: In this study, biochemical analysis, pathological staining, immunofluorescent staining, immunohistochemical staining, transcriptomic analysis, Western blotting was used to investigate the mechanism of tacrolimus-induced hepatotoxicity in gene knockout mice and Wistar rats.

Article Synopsis
  • This study tested rituximab (RTX) on patients with primary membranous nephropathy (PMN) who were dependent on calmodulin inhibitors (CNIs) and not fully in remission.
  • Among 36 patients, those who were drug-dependent showed a significant reduction in proteinuria and improved remission rates after 12 months of RTX therapy, with complete remission increasing from 10% to 70%.
  • The results indicated that RTX not only helped patients overcome CNI dependency but also led to significant immunological improvements while minimizing the risks of adverse effects.

The aim of the present study was to explore the role of ovarian cancer G protein-coupled receptor 1 (OGR1) in osteoclast differentiation and activity induced by extracellular acid. The impact of extracellular acidification on osteoclasts was investigated. Briefly, osteoclasts were generated from RAW 264.

Background: To compare the efficacy and safety of rituximab (RTX), calcineurin inhibitor (CNI) and cyclophosphamide (CTX) plus glucocorticoids in the treatment of primary membranous nephropathy (PMN).

Methods: Totally 478 biopsy-proven PMN patients in single center were retrospectively included. After 1:1 propensity score matching (PSM), 258 patients were included in RTX, CNI or CTX group (86 patients in each group).

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a common inflammatory skin disorder characterised by hypersensitivity to allergens, eczematous lesions and pruritus. The aim of this study was to comprehensively characterise a murine model of dermatitis and assess the similarity with the human disease, as well as to profile clinically relevant AD therapies. Four repeated topical administrations of oxazolone in the auricular skin of sensitised mice induced morphological features compatible with AD, including redness and swelling, as well as histological changes typical of spongiotic (eczematous) dermatitis and increased plasmatic IgE.
