Objective: IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is an immune-mediated multi-organ, chronic and progressive disease. Therefore, we conducted a study to investigate the susceptibility of COVID-19 in IgG4-RD patients in Hubei province, and to characterize the clinical manifestation of COVID-19 in IgG4-RD patients.

Methods: A follow-up system that includes over 200 IgG4-RD patients across the country during the past ten years. A total of ninety-one patients with IgG4-RD who live in Hubei, China were identified and responded to our survey. Medical history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests, CT imaging, and treatment were obtained through a standardized data collection form, and then independently reviewed by two investigators.

Results: 2 of 91 cases were infected with COVID-19. Both of them were classified as moderate type. The symptoms such as fever and cough and radiologic features were similar to other COVID-19 patients. Neither of them episode recurrent of IgG4-RD nor progressed to severe or critical condition of COVID-19 under the condition of continuous oral low-dose of glucocorticoids. Besides, patient 2 took a long time for SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid to turn negative.

Conclusion: IgG4-RD patients may belongs to the susceptible population of COVID-19 infection, and thus need more careful personal protection. Early identification and properly treatment are very important to prevent IgG4-RD patients with COVID-19 from progression to severe condition.

IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is an immune-mediated fibroinflammatory disorder that can affect multiple organs throughout the body, predominantly in middle-aged and elderly males, with a male-to-female ratio of 2꞉1 to 3꞉1. IgG4-related retroperitoneal fibrosis (IgG4-RPF), a rare subtype of IgG4-RD, has an unclear etiology, and its comorbidity with type 2 diabetes mellitus is also uncommon. A lack of awareness of this condition in clinical practice can easily lead to misdiagnosis.

Immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) are multisystemic autoimmune disorders that can present with renal manifestations. Overlapping cases of these diseases are extremely rare and present both diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. We report the case of a 70-year-old male with a history of autoimmune pancreatitis, who was admitted with fatigue, weight loss, and worsening kidney function.

Background: Immunoglobulin G4 related disease (IgG4-RD) is an immune-mediated, multifocal, fibroinflammatory disease with varied clinical manifestations. The involvement of head and neck region is infrequent. The objective was to report a case of localized IgG4-RD of mandible that clinically mimicked a lytic lesion.

Immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is an immune-mediated chronic fibro-inflammatory condition, that can involve multiple systems. Immunoglobulin G4-related respiratory disease (IgG4-RRD) is relatively rare, with non-specific clinical symptoms. Hemoptysis is a rare clinical symptom of IgG4-RRD, and cases of massive hemoptysis in adults have not been reported.

IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is an immune-mediated disorder characterized by organ enlargement and dysfunction. The formation of tertiary lymphoid tissues (TLTs) in affected organs is crucial for understanding IgG4-RD, as T follicular helper (Tfh) 2 cells within TLTs drive IgG4+B cell differentiation, contributing to mass formation. Key cytokines IL-4 and IL-10, produced by Tfh2 cells, are essential for this process.
