Despite the progress made in the last years, the Tuberculosis remains a relevant public health problem in many geographic areas of the world. Tuberculosis is the paradigm of infectious disease with a high social component, and in its approach, measures aimed at reducing poverty, economic inequality and the integration of the most vulnerable groups cannot be ignored. Therefore, solidarity and social justice are terms associated with the control of this disease. The TBS Network, made up of various institutions born from civil society, tries to inform society and professionals about aspects of tuberculosis prevention, control, diagnosis, treatment and investigation, trying to avoid the stigma that still accompanies many patients. Among the activities organized by the TBS Network are, among others, the Solidarity Cinema Forum (in prisons, Red Cross premises and NGOs), Informa TB and Update Days.

This case report explores the therapeutic potential of theta burst stimulation (TBS) for cognitive enhancement in individuals with brain injuries. The study presents a 38-year-old male suffering from an organic mental disorder attributed to a traumatic brain injury (TBI), who demonstrated notable cognitive improvements following an intensive TBS protocol targeting the left dorsal lateral prefrontal cortex. The treatment led to significant enhancements in impulse control, irritability, and verbal comprehension without adverse effects.

Introduction: Liver transplantation (LT) provides significant survival benefits to patients with unresectable HCC. In the United States, organ allocation policies for HCCs within the United Network for Organ Sharing criteria do not prioritize patients based on their differences in oncological characteristics. This study assessed whether transplant-associated survival benefits (TASBs) vary among patients with different tumor burden scores (TBS) measured at the time of listing.

Background: Major depressive disorder (MDD) is prevalent among older patients and is frequently associated with cognitive decline and a reduced quality of life. Non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) techniques show promise for treating MDD, but their comparative efficacy and safety older populations remain unclear. This study aimed to compare the efficacy and cognitive effects of various NIBS techniques in treating MDD in older patients.

This systematic review and network meta-analysis (NMA) sought to compare different antidepressant treatments for treatment-resistant depression (TRD) in order to facilitate evidence-based choices. A literature search of PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Embase from inception until April 13th, 2023 identified randomized, controlled trials (RCTs) of adults with depression who had not responded to at least two antidepressant trials; all RCTs had ≥10 participants per study arm, and participants with bipolar or psychotic depression were excluded. The Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool-2 was used to assess study quality.

Background: Although various repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) and theta burst stimulation (TBS) protocols are used, their comparative effectiveness for treating poststroke hemineglect remains unassessed.
Objective: To investigate rTMS and TBS effects on clinical outcomes in poststroke hemineglect through a systematic review and network meta-analysis.
Methods: We searched PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library databases up to March 7, 2024, for trials on rTMS or TBS in poststroke hemineglect.
