Objective: To characterize contemporary surgeons' viewpoints and perspectives on the academic mission during healthcare corporatization.
Summary Background Data: Academic surgery, traditionally driven by the tripartite missions of excellence in clinical care, scientific research, and education, faces increasing challenges from a corporatized healthcare environment. While previous studies have addressed the financial aspects of corporatization, a comprehensive evaluation of academic surgeons' attitudes and experiences remains lacking.

Background: Intensive care units (ICUs) are high-stress environments, particularly for nurses, who face numerous stressors that can negatively impact their well-being. This study aimed to examine stress levels and stressors among ICU nurses, investigate their stress coping strategies, and explore the primary stressors in this demanding work environment.
Materials And Methods: Employing a cross-sectional design, this study assessed the stress levels of ICU nurses by using the Perceived Stress Scale and their coping strategies through the Brief-COPE scale, from March 15, 2021, to April 14, 2021.
Introduction: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) accounts for approximately 15-20% of all breast carcinomas. In the last two decades, both nipple-sparing mastectomy (NSM) and skin-sparing mastectomy (SSM) with immediate reconstruction have been used in the surgical management. The aim of our study was to analyze the outcomes of the combined treatment of patients with TNBC treated with NSM or SSM.

Background: Patient provider interactions influence patient treatment adherence, clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and an overall patient's engagement in healthcare decisions. The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of patient provider educational interactions and associated variables on patient reported outcomes in the hip dysplasia population.
Methods: A secondary data analysis was completed with 6-month postoperative survey data from participants, who had undergone periacetabular osteotomy.
Background: Pelvic fractures often result in traumatic and intraoperative blood loss. Cell salvage (CS) is a tool where autologous blood lost during surgery is collected and recycled with anticoagulation, centrifugation to separate red blood cells, and washing to be reinfused back to the patient. The purpose of this study was to investigate our experience with CS in pelvic and acetabular surgery and its relationship to perioperative transfusion requirements.
