Perspectives from the humanities and arts (H&A) on old age have deep roots in history; they emerged over the centuries along with concurrent scientific investigations. Provisionally invited into the scientific ranks of The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) during the late 1970s, H&A prospered, but grew amid tensions. During 75th-anniversary celebrations, Society members will assess H&A's role in GSA. How can H&A continue to enrich scientific research? How can H&A further advance its own meaningful contributions? Or, should H&A and GSA reconfigure its partnership?

Objective: In the context of the public health emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Quebec in 2020, remote public service interpreting has become, within a few days, an essential practice for maintaining services to migrants and allophone refugees, a particularly vulnerable population. This study aimed to measure the impact of two training courses on remote collaboration for mediated consultations developed for healthcare workers and untrained interpreters.
Methods: A total of 79 healthcare workers and 65 untrained interpreters from the province of Quebec were recruited.

This systematic review explores the multifaceted psychological impact of advertising on women's self-perception, examining traditional advertising, femvertising, and the emerging effects of digital transformation. By synthesizing evidence from 95 peer-reviewed studies, this review examines the relationship between media portrayals of women and key psychological outcomes, including body image, self-esteem, self-objectification, and gender role attitudes. Our analysis reveals that traditional advertising, which often features idealized and stereotypical portrayals of femininity, continues to be associated with negative psychological outcomes such as increased body dissatisfaction and self-objectification.
