We describe the case of an 88-year-old man with cytotoxic lesions of the corpus callosum (CLOCCs) related to hypoglycemia. The patient developed a disturbance of consciousness following excessive alcohol consumption and anorexia. In the emergency room, his blood sugar level was 9 mg/dL, and he was immediately treated with a rapid infusion of glucose.

A 42-year-old Japanese man with a history hepatitis C who had undergone bone marrow transplantation for Burkitt lymphoma. He visited our hospital after developing a fever and sore throat. A computed tomography scan of the chest revealed pneumonia, and the patient was admitted to our hospital.

Mild encephalitis/encephalopathy with a reversible splenial lesion (MERS) is a rare disease characterized by a reversible lesion in the splenium of the corpus callosum (SCC) observed on MRI. The exact etiology of MERS is unknown, although infections and antiepileptic drugs have been reported as potential causes. Herein, we present the case of a 56-year-old male patient who experienced fever and headache for 3 days.
