Objectives: Fundoscopy is crucial in the emergency department to identify or rule out serious ocular and neurological conditions. Despite its clinical importance, fundoscopy is often omitted due to the technical challenges associated with traditional direct ophthalmoscopy, particularly for non-ophthalmologists. This study examines emergency physicians' practices, confidence levels, and training related to various modalities of fundoscopy including traditional direct ophthalmoscopes, binocular indirect ophthalmoscopes, panoptic ophthalmoscopes, slit lamp fundoscopy and fundus cameras; and explores the potential role of alternative modalities, such as fundus cameras, in Canadian emergency departments.

Background: Bone marrow examination (BME) is the gold standard of diagnosing myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS).
Problems: it is invasive, painful, causing possible bleeding, inaccurate (aspirate hemodilution), and subjective (inter-observer interpretation discordance). We developed non-invasive diagnostic tools: A logistic regression formula [LeukRes 2018], then a web algorithm using 10 variables (age, gender, Hb, MCV, WBC, ANC, monocytes, PLT, glucose, creatinine) to diagnose/exclude MDS [BldAdv 2021].

Background: Given the increasing recognition of the value of greater integration of physical and mental health services for children and young people, we aimed to evaluate preferences among parents for the characteristics associated with integrated health service provision for two conditions (eating disorders, functional symptom disorders).
Methods: Two discrete choice experiments (DCEs) were conducted, using electronic surveys. Participants were adult parents of children and young people.

Background: Pancreatic cancer is a highly aggressive neoplasm characterized by poor diagnosis. Amino acids play a prominent role in the occurrence and progression of pancreatic cancer as essential building blocks for protein synthesis and key regulators of cellular metabolism. Understanding the interplay between pancreatic cancer and amino acid metabolism offers potential avenues for improving patient clinical outcomes.

Rationale And Objectives: To develop radiomics and deep learning models for differentiating malignant and benign soft tissue tumors (STTs) preoperatively based on fat saturation T2-weighted imaging (FS-T2WI) of patients.
Materials And Methods: Data of 115 patients with STTs of extremities and trunk were collected from our hospital as the training set, and data of other 70 patients were collected from another center as the external validation set. Outlined Regions of interest included the intratumor and the peritumor region extending outward by 5 mm, then the corresponding radiomics features were extracted respectively.
