Our study focused on the potential mechanism of microRNA-490-3p (miR-490-3p) on learning/memory disability of rats resulting from sevoflurane (Sev). The rat model of cognitive dysfunction was established by infection with miR-490-3p mimic and Sev-exposure. Morris water maze and open field test assay were used for the assessment of cognitive deficits.

Gengnianchun (GNC) is a traditional remedy used for diminished ovarian reserve, but its underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study aimed to explore these mechanisms in human granulosa-like cancer (KGN) cells pretreated with medicated rat serum (MRS) before HO exposure. MRS pretreatment significantly alleviated HO-induced cell damage, including improvements in cell viability, superoxide dismutase and GSH-Px activities, and Bcl-2 expression.

In the previous study, discarded oyster farming bamboo scaffolding (BS) demonstrated the potential for application in pulping and papermaking through the soda pulping process. However, soda pulping involves high temperatures and chemical dosages. Therefore, this study develops an alternative pulping process to lower temperature and chemical demands by utilizing a high-consistency kneader (HCK), simultaneously promoting the utilization of BS in pulping and papermaking.

Background: Foodborne pathogens, particularly Vibrio parahaemolyticus (VP) found in seafood, pose significant health risks, including abdominal pain, nausea, and even death. Rapid, accurate, and sensitive detection of these pathogens is crucial for food safety and public health.
