: Streptococcal Toxic Shock Syndrome (STSS) is a serious condition that can arise from streptococcal postpartum endometritis. It is associated with a substantial increase in mortality rate and can rarely result in multiorgan infarction. Early recognition plays a vital role in patients' outcome. : To report a case of complicated STSS and review the literature for previous case reports of streptococcal postpartum endometritis to determine if STSS diagnostic criteria (published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) were fulfilled. : This is a 41-year-old woman who presented 5 days after an uncomplicated vaginal delivery with endometritis complicated by invasive group A β-hemolytic streptococcus (GAS) infection and confirmed toxic shock syndrome. The patient was initially admitted to the critical care unit due to hemodynamic compromise requiring intravenous (IV) fluids, IV antibiotic therapy with penicillin and clindamycin, and IV immunoglobulin therapy. The patient subsequently developed multi-organ infarctions, acute respiratory distress syndrome requiring noninvasive respiratory support, and severe reactive arthritis. Literature review revealed 15 case reports of GAS postpartum endometritis, five met criteria for confirmed STSS. One patient died from severe septic shock leading to cardiopulmonary arrest. Thirteen out of 15 cases of postpartum endometritis occurred after uncomplicated vaginal delivery. : STSS is a serious and possibly fatal medical condition that requires early diagnosis and treatment to prevent poor patient outcomes and death. Careful consideration to the patient's postpartum clinical presentation with the implementation of an intradisciplinary approach should be utilized.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of vacuum-induced intrauterine balloon tamponade (vIBT) using the modified Bakri system in a clinical setting.
Materials And Methods: This single-center observational study included women who had undergone vIBT for primary postpartum hemorrhage (PPH). Vacuum induction at 60 kPa in the uterus was continued for 1 h with 50-100 ml saline, and the balloon was promptly removed after the protocol was completed.

Introduction: Induction of labor is a common procedure, and in Denmark, approximately one in four vaginal deliveries are induced. The association between induction and maternal postpartum infections such as endometritis, surgical site infection after cesarean section, urinary tract infection, and sepsis has been sparsely investigated. Our objective was to investigate the association between induction of labor and risk of maternal postpartum infection and to identify potential risk factors for infection.

Background: We aim to identify risk factors contributing to extended rehospitalizations in patients diagnosed with postpartum endometritis requiring intravenous antibiotics.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study examined postpartum endometritis patients readmitted for treatment from 2014 to 2022, comparing short (≤ 48 h) and prolonged hospitalization (> 48 h). Data included patient demographics, medical history, presentation parameters, vaginal examination findings, sonographic data, laboratory results, and details of the current labor to create a scoring system predicting prolonged hospitalization risk.

The bovine uterus is susceptible to bacterial infections after calving, particularly from (), which often results in endometritis. Additionally, postpartum stress in cows can elevate cortisol levels in the body, inhibiting endometrial regeneration and reducing immune function, thereby further increasing the risk of infection. Selenium (Se) is a common feed additive in dairy farming, known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

Due to the productive and economic consequences of Repeat Breeder (RB) syndrome, the objectives of this study were to determine the prevalence and risk factors for subclinical endometritis (SE) and oviductal occlusion (OO) in RB cows, and to make a therapeutic approach for these pathologies. In 99 RB cows, endometrial cytologies were performed to assess the presence of SE (>5 % polymorphonuclear neutrophils), and the oviductal patency was checked using the phenolsulfonphthalein test. Body condition score was evaluated, and data from each animal were obtained from on-farm software (parity, calving date, artificial insemination (AI) date, number of AI, and occurrence of postpartum diseases).
