The measurement accuracy of the precision instruments that contain rotation joints is influenced significantly by the rotary encoders that are installed in the rotation joints. Apart from the imperfect manufacturing and installation of the rotary encoder, the variations of ambient temperature could cause the angle measurement error of the rotary encoder. According to the characteristics of the 2 periodicity of the angle measurement at the stationary temperature and the complexity of the effects of ambient temperature changes, the method based on the Fourier expansion-back propagation (BP) neural network optimized by genetic algorithm (FE-GABPNN) is proposed to improve the angle measurement accuracy of the rotary encoder. The proposed method, which innovatively integrates the characteristics of Fourier expansion, the BP neural network and genetic algorithm, has good fitting performance. The rotary encoder that is installed in the rotation joint of the articulated coordinate measuring machine (ACMM) is calibrated by using an autocollimator and a regular optical polygon at ambient temperature ranging from 10 to 40 °C. The contrastive analysis is carried out. The experimental results show that the angle measurement errors decrease remarkably, from 110.2″ to 2.7″ after compensation. The mean root mean square error (RMSE) of the residual errors is 0.85″.

Variable-speed electrical drive control typically relies upon a two-loop scheme, one for torque/speed and another for stator current control. In modern drive control methods, the actual mechanical speed is needed for both loops. In practical applications, the speed is often acquired by incremental rotary encoders.

Targeting the issues of seed leakage and cutting segment adhesion due to poor seed feeding and cutting in real-time seed-cutting cassava planters, this study developed a seeding quality monitoring system. Based on the structure and working principle of the seed cutting and discharging device, the installation methods of the matrix fiber optic sensor and rotary encoder were determined. By combining the operational characteristics of the planter's ground wheel drive with seed cutting and seed dropping, a monitoring model correlating the sowing parameters with seed dropping time was established; a monitoring window was created by extracting and processing the rotary encoder pulse signal, and the number of seeds sown after each opposing cutter's operation was calculated based on the pulse width information within the monitoring window.

Introduction: Parkinson's disease (PD) is primarily driven by the protein Alpha Synuclein (A-Syn) accumulation. Synphilin-1 protein, encoded by the SNCAIP gene, which co-localizes with A-Syn is a known risk factor for PD. Retinitis pigmentosa (RP), is a cluster of retinal degenerative disorders, and Cyclic Nucleotide Gated channel subunit Alpha 1 (CNGA1) is one of the initial genes associated with RP.

To address the issue of efficiently reusing the massive amount of unstructured knowledge generated during the handling of track circuit equipment faults and to automate the construction of knowledge graphs in the railway maintenance domain, it is crucial to leverage knowledge extraction techniques to efficiently extract relational triplets from fault maintenance text data. Given the current lag in joint extraction technology within the railway domain and the inefficiency in resource utilization, this paper proposes a joint extraction model for track circuit entities and relations, integrating Global Pointer and tensor learning. Taking into account the associative characteristics of semantic relations, the nesting of domain-specific terms in the railway sector, and semantic diversity, this research views the relation extraction task as a tensor learning process and the entity recognition task as a span-based Global Pointer search process.

Background: Increased tibial slope has been shown to lead to higher rates of anterior cruciate ligament graft failure. A slope-decreasing osteotomy can reduce in situ anterior cruciate ligament force and may mitigate this risk. However, how this procedure may affect the length change behavior of the medial ligamentous structures is unknown.
