The growing incidence and importance of cardiovascular diseases in a number of countries calls for systematic quest for most efficient methods of treatment, which besides prevention and drug therapy include also surgical treatment. A group of experts from member countries of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (CMEA) has worked out a scientific prognosis of trends of the development of cardiovascular surgery, which include surgical treatment of ischaemic heart disease, congenital and acquired heart defects, renovascular hypertension and affection of the aortic arch. The prognosis includes also an estimate of the number of operations which will have to be performed in the mentioned diseases per 1 million inhabitants of the CMEA member countries.

Background/purpose: Oral leukoplakia (OLK) and oral lichen planus (OLP) represent two common oral potentially malignant disorders. It would be interesting to know scientific output and characteristics of studies on OLK and OLP.
Materials And Methods: This study aimed to investigate and compare scientometric characteristics of articles on OLK and OLP in the Scopus database, with emphasis on the analysis of the keywords that can reflect research directions and topics of concern.

Background: Patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) face a highly unfavorable outcome and have a poor response to standard treatments. Immunotherapy, especially therapy based on natural killer (NK) cells, presents a promising avenue for the treatment of PDAC.
Aims: This research endeavor seeks to formulate a predictive tool specifically designed for PDAC based on NK cell-related long non-coding RNA (lncRNA), revealing new molecular subtypes of PDAC to promote personalized and precision treatment.

Background: Long non-coding ribonucleic acids (lncRNAs) regulate messenger RNA (mRNA) expression and influence cancer development and progression. Cuproptosis, a newly discovered form of cell death, plays an important role in cancer. Nonetheless, additional research investigating the association between cuproptosis-related lncRNAs and prostate cancer (PCa) prognosis is required.

Hypophosphatasia (HPP) is an inherited error in metabolism resulting from loss-of-function variants in the gene, which encodes tissue-nonspecific alkaline phosphatase (TNAP). TNAP plays a crucial role in biomineralization of bones and teeth, in part by reducing levels of inorganic pyrophosphate (PP), an inhibitor of biomineralization. HPP onset in childhood contributes to rickets, including growth plate defects and impaired growth.

Background And Aim: Changes in cognitive function are commonly associated with aging in patients with cardiovascular diseases. The objective of this research was to construct and validate a nomogram-based predictive model for the identification of cognitive impairment in older people suffering from cardiovascular diseases.
Methods And Results: This retrospective study included 498 participants with cardiovascular diseases aged >60 selected from the NHANES 2011-2014.
