Hip involvement is a common condition in about one-third of patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA). We assessed the incidence of possible factors that predispose patients to limited flexion after total hip arthroplasty (THA) for the treatment of axSpA. Purpose: Basophils play a crucial role in immunoglobulin E-mediated allergic reactions and parasitic infections. Recently, a low basophil count was reported to be a poor prognostic indicator in patients with malignant tumors. This study aimed to investigate the cut-off value to evaluate the clinicopathological and prognostic significance of the basophil count in patients with gastric cancer.

Introduction Lumbar pyogenic spondylodiscitis is a challenging and rare spinal infection with high morbidity, particularly in patients with comorbidities. While the extreme lateral interbody fusion (XLIF) technique is established in treating degenerative spinal conditions, its efficacy in managing spondylodiscitis is less well-studied. This study aims to evaluate the clinical and radiographic outcomes of the XLIF approach combined with posterior instrumentation in patients with lumbar spondylodiscitis.

Background: This study analyzes the factors influencing the 90-day prognosis of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients after mechanical thrombectomy (MT) and established a multidimensional risk model to predict postoperative 90-day outcomes.
Methods: A retrospective analysis of clinical data was conducted for AIS patients who underwent MT at our hospital. A total of 111 patients who met the inclusion criteria were included in the study.

Objective: To analyse the distribution of pathogens, risk factors and inflammatory indicators related to pelvic infection after hysterectomy.
Methods: Patients who underwent hysterectomy at Women's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University between January 2022 and January 2023 were recruited into this study. Vaginal secretions from patients with suspected postoperative pelvic infection were collected for pathogen cultivation, identification, and antimicrobial susceptibility analysis.
