Clonal hematopoiesis (CH) is associated with an increased risk of developing myeloid neoplasms (MNs) such as myelodysplastic neoplasm (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). In general, CH comprises clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) and clonal cytopenia of undetermined significance (CCUS). It is an age-related phenomenon characterized by the presence of somatic mutations in hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) that acquire a fitness advantage under selection pressure.

Background: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML), as the most common subtype of leukemia in adults, is characterised by rapid progression and poor prognosis. In the context of the rapid development of medical technology and the complexity of social factors, a detailed report describing the latest epidemiological patterns of AML is important for decision makers to allocate healthcare resources effectively.

Methods: Our research utilized the latest data sourced from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2021.

Background: Long non-coding RNA small nucleolar RNA host gene 5 (lncRNA SNHG5) has been identified as both a promising target for treatment and a predictor of prognosis in diverse types of cancer. The objective of this study was to assess whether lncRNA SNHG5 expression can be utilized as a prognostic biomarker for human cancer.

Methods: To ensure a thorough search of the literature for relevant English studies published before July 2023, several databases were searched, including PubMed, Web of Science, ProQuest, Cochrane Library, and Google Scholar.

Introduction: Limited studies report anxiety and depression prevalence and their correlations with prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Even worse, their risk factors for AML remained unclear. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence, risk factors, and prognostic value of anxiety and depression in AML patients.

Background: Our study examined the global, national, and regional trends in the incidence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) associated with older people's acute myeloid leukemia (AML) over a 30 years period. AML, which predominantly affects individuals aged 60-89, is known for its severity and unfavorable prognosis. By providing insights into the growing burden of AML, our research highlights the urgent need for effective interventions and support at various levels.
