University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland.
Background: When treatments against neurodegenerative diseases eventuate, the most successful time point to administer therapies will be the early stages, most likely before symptoms begin to show. Previous studies have found alpha-synuclein pathology (Lewy-related pathology; LRP) in asymptomatic individuals aged 62 years and above, with ranges from 8 to 17%.
Method: We performed immunohistochemical staining with the 5G4 antibody against alpha-synuclein on brain tissue samples from the Tampere Sudden Death Study - a collection of forensic autopsies on individuals that lived outside hospital institutions in Tampere and the surrounding regions, Finland.

Background: Progress in medical education is reflected in healthcare quality and patient satisfaction. However, there are still gaps in knowledge regarding the patients' expectations of general practitioners (GPs), even though patients' interactions with GPs are among the most frequent in healthcare. Accordingly, this study investigated the qualities desired by adults in GPs, intending to include them in future medical humanization education to enhance the patients' experience.

Purpose Of Review: Demonstrate the impact of allocation system design on access to the waitlist and transplantation for patients with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD).
Recent Findings: Minoritized groups are more likely to be declined from transplant listing owing to psychosocial criteria. Lack of consistent definitions, screening tools with differential subgroup validity, and insufficient evidence-base contribute to concerns about reliance on psychosocial factors in transplant listing decisions.
