Retention of the testis is one of the most common congenital malformation in male infants. The incidence of this disease is 1-2% at 1 year of age. As nonpalpable are reported around 20% of cases and in up to 30% of neonates may affect both sides. For optimal results, orchidopexy should be performed between the ages of six and eighteen months. We presented a rare case of successful in vitro fertilization after laparoscopic Fowler-Stephens orchidopexy in 30 years old man with bilateral abdominal cryptorchidism.

Scrub typhus is caused by Orientia tsutsugamushi infection and occurs frequently in an area called the Tsutsugamushi Triangle. Currently, there is no vaccine for O. tsutsugamushi, and its infection is treated with antibiotics such as doxycycline.

Objectives: This study aimed to assess the vertical misfit at the implant-abutment interface in external and internal connections across various implant brands, comparing original milled titanium abutments with laser-sintered cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) abutments.
Materials And Methods: A total of 160 implants from four different brands were utilized, with 80 featuring external connections (EC) and 80 internal connections (IC). Original milled titanium abutments (n = 160) and Co-Cr laser-sintered abutments (n = 160) were randomly attached to each connection type, following the manufacturer's recommended torque.

The uterine endometrium consists of luminal epithelium, glandular epithelium, and stromal cells, with uterine glands playing a pivotal role in pregnancy success among mammals. Uterine glands secrete essential factors that regulate embryo development and implantation; however, their cellular biology remains poorly understood. This study presents a refined method for isolating three distinct endometrial cell types with high purity, with a specific emphasis on glandular epithelial cells.

Introduction: Biliary tract cancer (BTC) comprises a clinically diverse and genetically heterogeneous group of tumors along the intra- and extrahepatic biliary system (intrahepatic and extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma) and gallbladder cancer with the common feature of a poor prognosis, despite increasing molecular knowledge of associated genetic aberrations and possible targeted therapies. Therefore, the search for even more precise and individualized therapies is ongoing and preclinical tumor models are central to the development of such new approaches.
Areas Covered: The models described in the current review include simple and advanced in vitro and in vivo models, including cell lines, 2D monolayer, spheroid and organoid cultures, 3D bioprinting, patient-derived xenografts, and more recently, machine-perfusion platform-based models of resected liver specimens.

Background: Uveal melanoma (UM) is the most common intraocular tumor in adults, arises either de novo from normal choroidal melanocytes (NCMs) or from pre-existing nevi that stem from NCMs and are thought to harbor UM-initiating mutations, most commonly in GNAQ or GNA11. However, there are no commercially available NCM cell lines, nor is there a detailed protocol for developing an oncogene-mutated CM line (MutCM) to study UM development. This study aimed to establish and characterize premalignant CM models from human donor eyes to recapitulate the cell populations at the origin of UM.
