Heterophase homokaryons were obtained by fusion of the Chinese hamster culture cells. About 94% of these homokaryons were divided by the multipolar mitosis. Chromosome sets arising from different nuclei were found to keep segregations in common metaphase plates both in the multipolar and bipolar mitoses.

Objectives: In vitro experiments were manipulated to investigate the effect of the (PICALM-interacting mitotic regulator gene) expression level on the malignant phenotype of liver cancer cells and their tumorigenesis ability in nude mice, and bioinformatics were used to analyze the clinical diagnostic and prognostic value in liver cancer.
Methods: After liver cancer-related data were obtained from the TCGA database and GTEx database, the differences in expression in liver cancer and normal liver tissue were compared using bioinformatics, and their correlation with the clinical pathological characteristics of liver cancer and the prognosis value were analyzed. A knockdown and overexpression model of was constructed using Huh7 cells.

Melanoma is a highly aggressive malignancy originating from melanocytes, characterized by its potential to arise in various anatomic locations, both common and rare. The incidence of melanoma has been steadily increasing globally, with variations in clinical presentation, tumor behavior, and prognosis depending on the anatomical site involved. Understanding the diverse pathological spectrum of melanoma is critical for optimizing diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.

Embryonal tumors with multilayered rosettes (ETMRs) are rare and highly aggressive embryonal central nervous system tumors that predominantly affect infants younger than 3 years old. These tumors typically have a C19MC alteration (ETMR, C19MC-altered) or, more rarely, a DICER1 mutation (ETMR, DICER1-mutated). Post-chemotherapeutic or post-chemoradiotherapeutic histological changes of C19MC-altered ETMRs, such as maturation or loss of histological characteristics of ETMR have been described in several reports.

Aging involves a range of genetic, epigenetic, and physiological alterations. A key characteristic of aged cells is the loss of global heterochromatin, accompanied by a reduction in canonical histone levels. In this study, we track the fate of centromeres in aged human fibroblasts and tissues and in various cellular senescent models.

Background: It is known that genomic instability contributes to cancer development. Mitotically associated long non-coding RNA (MANCR) has been reported to promote genomic stability, suggesting its involvement in cancers. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the role of MANCR in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
