Fluorine-18 radiolabeling typically includes several conserved steps including elution of the [F]fluoride from an anion exchange cartridge with a basic solution of KCO or KHCO and Kryptofix 2.2.2. in mixture of acetonitrile and water followed by rigorous azeotropic drying to remove the water. In this work we describe an alternative "non-anhydrous, minimally basic" ("NAMB") technique that simplifies the process and avoids the basic conditions that can sometimes limit the scope and efficiency of [F]fluoride incorporation chemistry. In this approach, [F]F is eluted from small (10-12 mg) anion-exchange cartridges with solutions of tetraethylammonium bicarbonate, perchlorate or tosylate in polar aprotic solvents containing 10-50% water. After dilution with additional aprotic solvent, these solutions are used directly in nucleophilic aromatic and aliphatic F-fluorination reactions, obviating the need for azeotropic drying. Perchlorate and tosylate are minimally basic anions that are nevertheless suitable for removal of [F]F from the anion-exchange cartridge. As proof-of-principle, "NAMB" chemistry was utilized for the synthesis of the dopamine D/D antagonist [F]fallypride.

Objective: Evaluating the clinical value of the modified single-incision posterior median approach with expandable tubular assistance for lumbar interbody fusion in managing degenerative lumbar spine diseases.
Method: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 121 patients with single-level degenerative lumbar spine disease treated in our spine surgery department from January 2017 to December 2021. Of these, 72 patients underwent a modified single-incision posterior median approach with expandable tubular assistance lumbar interbody fusion (single-incision MIS-TLIF group), while 49 patients received the classic open posterior median incision P-TLIF (open surgery group).

Background: Transcatheter closure of percutaneous paravalvular leak (PVL) is a technically challenging procedure, especially after surgical mechanical valve replacements (SMVR), as the risk of interference with the prosthetic valve discs and the complex interventional techniques required for mitral PVL closure. Our study was designed to review the results with transcatheter closure of PVL after SMVR.
Methods: From January 2018 through December 2023, a total of 64 patients with PVL after SMVR underwent transcatheter closure with the help of preoperative 3-dimensional printing model and simulator for image evaluation.
