Article Abstract

species are widely used to control fungal and nematode diseases of crops. To date, only one complete genome has been sequenced, QM6a, a model fungus for industrial enzyme production, while the species or strains used for biological control of plant diseases are only available as draft genomes. Previously, we demonstrated that two strains ( and ) provide effective control of nematode and fungal plant pathogens. Based on deep sequencing using Illumina and Pacbio platforms, we have assembled high-quality genomes of the above two strains, with contig N reaching 4.2 and 1.7 Mbp, respectively, which is greater than those of published draft genomes. The genome data will provide a resource to assist research on the biological control mechanisms of spp.

Selenopeptides can be ideal dietary selenium (Se) supplements for humans. Currently, rice is not used much as a source of selenopeptides. Here, we executed the selenopeptidomics analysis of selenium-enriched rice protein hydrolysates using the full MS-dd-MS2 acquisition method and identified selenopeptides, including L{Se-Met}AK and other selenopeptides.

The viral protein mutations can modify virus-host interactions during virus evolution, and thus alter the extent of infection or pathogenicity. Studies indicate that nucleocapsid (N) protein of SARS-CoV-2 participates in viral genome assembly, intracellular signal regulation and immune interference. However, its biological function in viral evolution is not well understood.

The development of surgical techniques, chemotherapy, biological agents, and multidisciplinary approaches have made patients with unresectable colorectal liver metastases eligible for surgery. Many strategies have been developed to allow patients for surgical resection (percutaneous portal vein embolization, liver venous deprivation, parenchyma-sparing liver surgery, reverse strategy, associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy, and liver transplantation), the only form of disease control and curative treatment.

The purpose of the present narrative review was to propose a unifying generalized conceptual model of mechanisms and processes in appetite self-regulation (ASR) in childhood. Appetite self-regulation, along with other domains of self-regulation, develops across childhood and contributes to energy intake and balance, diet quality, weight, and therefore long-term health outcomes. There have been efforts to conceptualize and measure components of ASR and associated processes/mechanisms, but, at present, there is no unifying conceptualization of ASR in childhood.

Immunological interventions, like vaccinations, are enabled by the predictive control of humoral responses to novel antigens. While the development trajectories for many broadly neutralizing antibodies (bnAbs) have been measured, it is less established how human subtype-specific antibodies develop from their precursors. In this work, we evaluated the retrospective development trajectories for eight anti-SARS-CoV-2 Spike human antibodies (Abs).
