Introduction: Deep inspiration breath hold technique has shown promise in reducing cardiac toxicity and improving patient outcomes. However, there is a lack of consensus regarding the implementation of abdominal breath hold technique and its impact on cardiac dose. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to provide insights into the comparative effectiveness of abdominal and thoracic breath hold in mitigating cardiac toxicity during radiation therapy for left-sided breast cancer.

Objective: This study investigates cerebrovascular reactivity (CVR) changes in cryptogenic stroke (CS) patients with right-to-left shunts (RLS) and evaluates the relationship between CVR and white matter hyperintensities (WMHs).
Methods: The breath-holding index (BHI), representing CVR, was measured from the middle cerebral artery (MCA) using the breath-holding method. WMHs were defined as clearly hyperintense areas on 3T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), assessed separately as periventricular hyperintensities (PVH) and deep white matter hyperintensities (DWMH).

Purpose: Continuous advancements in cancer management have resulted in increased long-term survival rates amongst cancer survivors and in turn have exposed the full extent of radiotherapy-associated morbidities. Radiation-induced coronary heart disease (RICHD) is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in cancer survivors, particularly in those having undergone mediastinal radiation. While mediastinal radiation has been shown to substantially reduce both recurrence and mortality rates in multiple thoracic malignancies, the risk for the development of RICHD is of significant concern.

Background: Quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can evaluate bowel motility in children with Crohn's disease. As inflammation increases, motility decreases.
Objective: Our aim was to show that quantitative MRI correlates with magnetic resonance enterography (MRE).

Objective Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), functional MRI (fMRI) and other neuroimaging techniques are routinely used in medical diagnosis, cognitive neuroscience or recently in brain decoding. They produce three- or four-dimensional scans reflecting the geometry of brain tissue or activity, which is highly correlated temporally and spatially. While there exist numerous theoretically guided methods for analyzing correlations in one-dimensional data, they often cannot be readily generalized to the multidimensional geometrically embedded setting.
