Background: Dementia patients commonly present multiple neuropathologies, worsening cognitive function, yet structural neuroimaging signatures of dementia have not been positioned in the context of combined pathology. In this study, we implemented an MRI voxel-based approach to explore combined and independent effects of dementia pathologies on grey and white matter structural changes.
Methods: In 91 amnestic dementia patients with post-mortem brain donation, grey matter density and white matter hyperintensity (WMH) burdens were obtained from pre-mortem MRI and analyzed in relation to Alzheimer's, vascular, Lewy body, TDP-43, and hippocampal sclerosis (HS) pathologies.

While earlier post-mortem studies show involvement of the central nervous system in 71% of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), involvement intravitam is rare. A 72-year-old man with untreated, minimally symptomatic CLL developed subacute-onset encephalopathy and presented with severe hyponatremia and stress-induced cardiomyopathy. His initial head computed tomography scan was unremarkable.

Rationale: Working memory impairment is a prominent feature of schizophrenia which predicts clinical and functional outcomes. Preclinical data suggest histamine-3 receptor (H3R) expression in cortical pyramidal neurons may have a role in working memory, and post-mortem data has found disruptions of H3R expression in schizophrenia.
Objectives: We examined the role of H3R in vivo to elucidate its role on working memory impairment in schizophrenia.

Objective: To guide animal experiments, we investigated the similarities and differences between humans and mice in aging and Alzheimer's disease (AD) at the single-nucleus RNA sequencing (snRNA-seq) or single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) level.
Methods: Microglia cells were extracted from dataset GSE198323 of human post-mortem hippocampus. The distributions and proportions of microglia subpopulation cell numbers related to AD or age were compared.
