is a genus of plants endemic to the Australian continent, occurring primarily in arid and temperate zones. Despite their prevalence, very little in the way of phytochemical and/or bioactivity investigation of native has been performed. Herein reported is the isolation and elucidation of (6,9)-zerumbone epoxide and a hitherto unreported isomer, (6,9)-zerumbone epoxide, from . In addition, a novel isodaucane sesquiterepene, kalparinol, was isolated from both and . The coisolation of the humulene and isodaucane skeletons, combined with the lack of any cadalane systems, could suggest an alternate novel biogenetic pathway originating from zerumbone, which is unlike any other proposals for the isodaucene system.

Introduction: Peels are an abundant but still underutilized waste product in the Citrus fruit industry. They contain coumarins with antiadipogenic potential that could be promising targets in new valorization strategies for Citrus peels.

Objectives: In this study, these coumarins, that is, citropten, bergamottin, and 5-geranyloxy-7-methoxycoumarin (5G7MC), were investigated in Citrus limon peels of different commercial varieties by HPLC-DAD after extraction with ethanol and choline chloride-based natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) as alternative extraction agents in green natural product extraction.

Zeolitic nanosheets possess great potential in catalysis due to their enhanced transport property and accessibility toward bulky molecules compared to conventional micron- meter scale crystals. However, the generation of Beta zeolite nanosheets, which are crucial for industrial catalysis, is still challenging for its intergrowth nature. In this work, aluminosilicate Beta nanosheets of ca.

The nun moth, L. (Linnaeus, 1758), is one of the most important defoliators of coniferous forests in Europe and Asia. In sexual communication, females produce three epoxides and an alkene: (-)-disparlure [(7,8)--7,8-epoxy-2-methyloctadecane], (+)-monachalure [(7,8)--7,8-epoxyoctadecane], (-)-monachalure [(7,8)--7,8-epoxyoctadecane], and their corresponding olefins.

This study aimed to assess the effects of a diet containing 20.8 mg FB1 + FB2/kg over four and nine days on oxylipin (OL) profiles in the liver and brain of chickens. A total of 96 OLs, derived from seven polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) via the cyclooxygenase (COX), lipoxygenase (LOX), cytochrome P450 (P450), and non-enzymatic pathways, were measured using HPLC-MS/MS.

January 2025

Department of Restorative Dentistry - Endodontics, Faculdade de Odontologia de Piracicaba, Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Piracicaba, SP, Brazil.

Objectives: To investigate volumetric changes, in vivo biocompatibility, and systemic migration from eight commercial endodontic sealer materials in paste/paste, powder/liquid, and pre-mixed forms.

Materials And Methods: The sealers AH Plus Bioceramic, AH Plus Jet, BioRoot RCS, MTApex, Bio-C Sealer, Bio-C Sealer Ion+, EndoSequence BC Sealer and NeoSEALER Flo were studied. After characterisation by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffractometry (XRD), tubes were implanted in Wistar rats' alveolar bone and subcutaneous tissues.
