Objectives: The aim of this article was to identify the best predictors of distress suffered by family carers (FCs) of geriatric patients.

Methods: A cross-sectional study of 100 FC-geriatric patient dyads was conducted. The negative impact of care (NIoC) subscale of the COPE index was dichotomized to identify lower stress (score of ≤15 on the scale) and higher stress (score of ≥16 on the scale) exerted on FCs by the process of providing care.

[The efficacy of protirelin in subjects with stabilized outcomes of stroke].

Protirelin is a valid means in the therapy of patients with stabilized outcomes by stroke. It has proved efficacious in the improving of the neurologic and cognitive deficits, of conscience, alertness, mood and behaviour alterations. Furthermore in conjunction with the kinesitherapeutic treatment, protirelin has granted a general recovery of not only mental but also sphincteral conditions, of outer and inner mobility and social activities.

[Conservative treatment of lumbar spondylolisthesis].

Bolnica za reumatske bolesti i rehabilitaciju Varazdinske Toplice.

Conservative treatment has been applied to patients suffering from low degree of lumbar spondilolysthesis, better to say those with light symptoms, or as an attempt before an operation. The treatment aims to spine functional capacity improvement and to reduce patients' unhealthy behaviour. The stress has been put to patient's active role in the treatment, and to the importance of the right choice of kinesitherapeutic exercises.
