In this case report, we will discuss three cases of women diagnosed with a periurethral mass. The specific diagnosis of a periurethral mass can vary and includes rare diseases. Therefore, they provide a challenge to medical professionals. All patients underwent diagnostic evaluation with cystoscopy and pelvic MRI followed by surgical removal. Based on the MRI and pathology report, different diagnoses were made for each patient. The three diagnoses will be discussed: subpubic cartilaginous cyst, leiomyoma and clear cell adenocarcinoma of the urethra. Our case report is useful for other medical professionals, and they can evaluate how to optimal approach a periurethral mass.

Introduction: Bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) in women includes functional and anatomic etiologies. Primary bladder neck obstruction (PBNO), Fowler's syndrome (FS), and dysfunctional voiding (DV) are some examples of functional obstructions, whereas pelvic organ prolapse (POP), periurethral masses, and intragenic causes are some of the anatomic causes.
Methods: This literature review describes the etiologies of female BOO, unique aspects of the workup and diagnosis, and the data for the standard surgical treatments and newer surgical techniques to treat women.

Objective: This study aimed to explore the existence of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) in peri-urethral tissues and the role of abnormal expression of sEVs in the pathogenesis of female stress urinary incontinence (SUI).
Methods: sEVs were extracted from peri-urethral vaginal wall tissues using differential centrifugation and were observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The number of sEVs and their protein contents were compared between SUI and control groups using nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA) and bicinchoninic acid (BCA) protein assay.
