The use of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) performed by non-radiologists has become more widespread and is entering new arenas of clinical care, particularly in the world of pediatrics. Children are prime candidates for ultrasound because they are more at risk to the harmful effects of ionizing radiation than adults. This is the second part of a two-part article reviewing 10 uses of POCUS that pediatricians can apply to their practice in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Objectives: The composition of department leadership, notably the Department Chair and Program Director, plays a pivotal role in "Match" decision making and further residency training. This study aims to examine the current landscape of subspecialties and other demographic characteristics of the Department Chairs and Program Directors of orthopaedic surgery residency programs across the United States.
Methods: A list of Department Chairs and Program Directors of all 201 ACGME orthopaedic surgery residency programs was generated from the Orthopaedic Residency Information Network (ORIN) website.

Background: While generalized ligamentous laxity is a risk factor for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction failure, there is a paucity of literature evaluating underlying dynamic risk factors predisposing pediatric and adolescent patients to ACL tears or tibial spine fractures.
Purpose: To (1) evaluate differences in baseline knee hyperextension and postoperative knee stiffness between patients who sustained tibial spine fractures versus ACL tears and (2) determine whether there were other demographic and dynamic injury differences between these patients.
Study Design: Cross-sectional study; Level of evidence, 3.

Objective: Current biomarkers for predicting immunotherapy response in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are derived from invasive procedures with limited predictive accuracy. Thus, identifying a non-invasive predictive biomarker would improve patient stratification and precision immunotherapy.
Methods And Analysis: In this retrospective multicohort study, the discovery cohort included 205 NSCLC patients screened from ORIENT-11 and an external validation (EV) cohort included 99 real-world NSCLC patients.

Objective: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) that block the programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) pathway have shown promise with limited benefit. We and others have shown in small patient cohorts that an early proliferative CD8 T-cell response in the blood may be predictive of clinical response. However, these studies lack detailed analyses and comparisons between monotherapy and combination therapies.

Transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) individuals face an elevated risk of cancer in comparison with the general population. This increased risk is primarily attributed to an imbalanced exposure to modifiable risk factors and a limited adherence to cancer screening programmes, stemming from historical social and economic marginalisation. Consequently, these factors contribute to poorer clinical outcomes in terms of cancer diagnosis and mortality.
