In this paper, a glutathione functionalized gold nanocluster (GSH-AuNCs) was prepared. GSH-AuNCs can catalyze the oxidation of 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) in the presence of hydrogen peroxide to produce a blue-green ox-TMB. By using its peroxidase activity and the GSH-AuNCs-TMB-HO system, the visualization of Fe and Cu and the high sensitivity detection of Fe and Cu can be realized according to the change of absorbance value and color of the system. The results showed that the sensitivity of the system to detect Fe and Cu in industrial wastewater reached 1.25 × 10 M and 1.25 × 10M, respectively. At the same time, the chelating agents NHF and EDTA · 2Na were introduced to realize the selective detection of the two ions under the coexistence of Fe and Cu ions.

Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) offers remarkable insights into cellular development and differentiation by capturing the gene expression profiles of individual cells. The role of dimensionality reduction and visualization in the interpretation of scRNA-seq data has gained widely acceptance. However, current methods face several challenges, including incomplete structure-preserving strategies and high distortion in embeddings, which fail to effectively model complex cell trajectories with multiple branches.

Exoskeleton Robot Training in Two Patients with an Electrical Burn and Septic Arthritis: A Case Report.

J Burn Care Res

January 2025

Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital, College of Medicine, Hallym University, Seoul, Korea.

Septic arthritis (SA) are rare in patients with burns, but delayed treatment can result in irreversible joint destruction. Early diagnosis and immediate treatment are necessary to prevent joint destruction. Robot training in patients with musculoskeletal diseases and burns, can improve joint range of motion (ROM), muscle strength, and lower extremity function.

Two-dimensional materials with flat electronic bands are promising for realising exotic quantum phenomena such as unconventional superconductivity and nontrivial topology. However, exploring their vast chemical space is a significant challenge. Here we introduce elf, an unsupervised convolutional autoencoder that encodes electronic band structure images into fingerprint vectors, enabling the autonomous clustering of materials by electronic properties beyond traditional chemical paradigms.

Objectives: Anterior shoulder instability with minimal glenoid bone loss has several options for Bankart repair. We aimed to evaluate the results of a modified technique using two anchors with double and single loaded suture (three stitches in total) in arthroscopic Bankart surgery.

Methods: Thirty-eight patients underwent arthroscopic Bankart surgery and were assessed after an average 40 months follow-up.
