Introduction: 22q11.2 microdeletion syndrome (22q11DS) is associated with a 25% risk of psychotic onset.

Materials And Methods: The sample consist of 120 subjects: 39 schizophrenics (SCZ); 20 siblings of schizophrenic patients (SIB); 34 22q11DS non-psychotic patients (DEL); 17 22q11DS psychotic patients (DEL_scz); 30 control subjects (CS). Social cognition was evaluated with the awareness of social interference test. Intelligence Quotient (IQ) was calculated with Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale. TASIT (Awareness of Social Inference Test) performance was analyzed via MANOVA, including IQ as covariate.

Results: Group and IQ showed significant effect (p < 0.001; p = 0.037). The only TASIT variables where IQ showed no effect were paradoxical sarcasm; sincerity; lie. In sincerity, CS group shows a better performance than both 22q11DS groups (p < 0.05). In paradoxical sarcasm and lie, CS group performed better than each clinical group (p < 0.05). Regarding lie, DEL group was worst also respect to SCZ group (p = 0.029).

Conclusions: Our results show a specific social cognition deficit in 22q11DS and schizophrenia.

Introduction: Mobility as a Service (MaaS) integrates various modes of transportation, provides personalized travel services for travelers, and improves the efficiency of traditional travel modes. To examine the mechanisms underlying the impact of sudden public health events on the behavioral intentions to use MaaS and provide theoretical support for the sustainable development of MaaS, this research investigates the Beijing MaaS program as a case.

Methods: A total of 630 questionnaires were collected.

This study aimed to characterize the triple-hit schizophrenia-like model rats (Wisket) by the assessment of (1) behavioral parameters in different test conditions (reward-based Ambitus test and HomeManner system) for a prolonged period, (2) cerebral muscarinic M1 receptor (M1R) expression, and (3) the effects of olanzapine treatment on these parameters. Wistar (control) and Wisket rats were injected for three consecutive weeks with olanzapine depot (100 mg/kg) and spent 4 weeks in large cages with environmental enrichment (HomeManner). The vehicle-treated Wisket rats spent longer time awake with decreased grooming activity compared to controls, without changes in their active social behavior (sniffing, playing, fighting) obtained in HomeManner.

Background: Racial and ethnic disparities in sleep quality and cognitive health are increasingly recognized, yet little is understood about their associations among Chinese older adults living in the United States. This study aims to examine the relationships between sleep health and cognitive functioning in this population, utilizing data from the Population Study of Chinese Elderly in Chicago (PINE).

Methods: This observational study utilized a two-wave panel design as part of the PINE, including 2,228 participants aged 65 years or older who self-identified as Chinese.

The International Cognitive Ability Resource, abbreviated ICAR, counters some of the practical problems researchers face when using good, but proprietary, licensed intelligence tests like the Wechsler tests, which include unfeasible administration times and financial costs. So far, ICAR has been validated for adolescents and adults in many countries, offering a viable test alternative for these populations. For use among children, however, the appropriateness of this resource was yet unknown.

Promises are widely used to increase trust in social status; yet how promise levels and social status influence trust behavior and its underlying neurophysiological mechanisms remain unclear. We used a modified trust game to investigate the effects of promise levels and social status on trust behavior. Participants, as investors paired with trustees of varying social status who were given the opportunity to promise to return different levels of money, were required to decide to whether trust the trustees.
