In this study imidazolium and imidazolinium centers in precursor [2]rotaxanes were deprotonated to obtain interlocked molecules featuring stabilized N-heterocyclic carbene centers. The encircling macrocyclic components enhanced the persistence of the otherwise unstable imidazolidin-2-ylidenes in solution at 253 K for more than a week in the absence of air.

Purpose: This study assessed the microgap width and adhesion of three bacterial species in four dental implants with different interlocks under four screwing torques.
Materials And Methods: Ten samples of four implant systems with various interlockings, including full-hexagonal (FHI), cylindrical-conical trilobe-index (TLI), Morse-taper with octagon terminal index (OI), and hexagonal interlock (slip-fit) (HI-SF), were used. The abutments were screwed to the fixtures under torques of 10, 20, 30, and 40 Ncm.

: Hip fractures are prevalent among the elderly and impose a significant burden on healthcare systems due to the associated high morbidity and costs. The increasing use of intramedullary nails for hip fracture fixation has inadvertently introduced risks; these implants can alter bone elasticity and create stress concentrations, leading to peri-implant fractures. The aim of this study is to investigate the outcomes of peri-implant hip fractures, evaluate the potential causes of such fractures, determine the type of treatment provided, assess the outcomes of said treatments, and establish possible improvement strategies.

The collapse of surface goaf beneath highways can result in instability and damage to roadbeds. However, filling the goaf areas with foam concrete can significantly enhance the stability of the roadbeds while considerably reducing the costs of filling materials. The ferulic acid (FA) / monoglyceride (MG) mixture could act as a gelator to structure sunflower oil at the gelator concentration () ≥ 4 % and the FA/MG ratios () of 0:100, 25:75, 50:50 and 75:25. The rectangular FA and needle-shaped MG crystals in the oleogel interlock with each other to form a 3D network, restricting the flow of oil. The gel strength and rheological performance of the oleogel were positively correlated with and negatively correlated with storage temperature ().
