The method and results of intercondylar endoprosthesis of the knee joint in combination with the removal from the joining surfaces of the epicondyle of the articular cartilage with the subchondral plate are described. The method was used in experiment in 25 dogs on 27 joints. Early and persistent recovery of the joint function and the supporting abilities of the extremity was achieved.
