Objective: Vaccination is protective against severe COVID-19 disease, yet whether vaccination reduces COVID-19-associated inflammation in pregnancy has not been established. The objective of this study is to characterize maternal and cord cytokine profiles of acute SARS-CoV-2 "breakthrough" infection (BTI) after vaccination, compared with unvaccinated infection and uninfected controls.
Study Design: 66 pregnant individuals enrolled in the MGH COVID-19 biorepository (March 2020-April 2022) were included.

Unlabelled: Myocarditis and pericarditis, or myopericarditis, is a rare, albeit life-threatening, cardiac complication of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Although most patients recover from myocardial inflammation within weeks of the acute infection, there are concerns about acute and long-term myocardial injury. Coronary microvascular dysfunction and myocardial inflammation in the affected myocardium might be key factors in developing acute COVID-19-associated myopericarditis.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, a significant number of pediatric leukemia patients have shown to have also contracted COVID-19 several weeks or months prior to the development of their cancer. Current research indicates the expression of MDA5, encoded by , is associated with increased immunity to COVID-19 in children. Children are also known to have a much lower risk of developing leukemia.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in the effectiveness and complications of CPAP versus non-invasive ventilation on bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP) in the treatment of COVID-19 associated acute respiratory failure (ARF).
Design: Retrospective observational study.
Setting: ICU.
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), is known for its severe inflammatory response, often leading to multi-organ dysfunction. Among the less-recognized complications is COVID-19-associated encephalopathy, particularly in the elderly, where it contributes significantly to morbidity and mortality. This report explores the rapid neurocognitive decline observed in six hospitalized patients with COVID-19, with or without pre-existing neurological conditions.
