Despite their high prevalence, somatoform pain disorders are often not recognized early enough, not diagnosed reliably enough and not treated appropriately. Patients often experience a high level of suffering and the feeling of not being understood. For the medical care system, the symptoms represent a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge.

A man in his 60s suffered from refractory, biopsy-proven subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus that required chronic, moderate dose steroids to manage. His rash was accompanied by arthralgias and negative autoantibody testing. His subacute lupus erythematosus (SCLE) was responsive to tofacitinib, but thrombotic complications limited the use of this medication.

Background: GNL2, a nuclear protein, is involved in ribosome production and cell cycle regulation. However, its expression and function in different types of tumors are not well understood. Somatic cell count is used by the dairy industry as an indicator of milk quality and udder health. However, in goats, its reliability is significantly masked by noninfectious variables such as the milk secretion process and physiological lactation changes. Additionally, notable individual variability between goats might exist.
