The concept of reflexology had been mainly developed in Russia in the first three decades of the 20 century. It could be regarded as a distinct and universal concept which was to explain both psychic diseases, healthy conditions, and psychology of masses. Moreover, it had been influenced behaviourism and, likewise, was an answer for the search of an objective method for investigation of the psyche. Main protagonists were Vladimir Mikhailovich Bekhterev and Naum Efimovich Ishlondsky (Ischlondsky) whose works underwent international dissemination.

Purpose: Eye rubbing is considered to play a significant role in the progression of keratoconus and of corneal ectasia following refractive surgery. To our knowledge, no tool performs an objective quantitative evaluation of eye rubbing using a device that is familiar to typical patients. There is a long-observed relationship between the pathology of the spine and arterial hypertension. There are a number of explanations for this, including one based on reflex effects and obstruction of blood flow to the cerebral vasodilatory centre localized in the rhomboid fossa projection. Obstruction can be absolute and relative, preventing the increase of blood flow during stress, when the brain turns on additional energy demand (phenomenon of «selfish brain»).

Introduction: The peripheral stress response, consisting of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) and hypothalamic pituitary adrenal-axis (HPA-axis), functions to maintain homeostasis in response to stressors. Cervical spine manual therapy has been shown to differentially modulate the stress response in healthy populations. No study has investigated whether cervical spine mobilizations can differentially modulate the stress response in individuals with persistent post-concussion symptoms (PPCS), a population characterized by a dysfunctional stress response.
