Introduction: Excessive social media use, though considered unhealthy, is no longer formally categorized as an addiction or disorder, leading to a lack of consensus on this behavior. It raises concerns regarding the exclusion of Internet Addiction Disorder from the DSM-5-TR due to insufficient empirical evidence. This study investigates the serial mediating effects of positive and negative affect, fear of missing out, and offline and online self-presentation in the relationship between social media use and social media addiction.

Bacterial spores pose significant risks to human health, yet the inactivation of spores is challenging due to their unique structures and chemical compositions. This study investigated the synergistic effect between surfactants and chlorine on the inactivation kinetics of Bacillus subtilis spores. Two surfactants, cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) and cetyltrimethylammonium chloride (CTMA) were selected to investigate chlorine disinfection in absence and presence of surfactants.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (CPIs) can cause immune-related organ dysfunctions, including nephritis, pneumonitis, thyroiditis, hepatitis, colitis and more rarely hematological toxicities like immune-related autoimmune hemolytic anemia (irAIHA). Very few cases of irAIHA associated with immunotherapy have been reported, and treatment protocols remain unclear. This is partly because not all irAIHA cases are Coomb's test positive.

Nanozymes with multienzyme-like activity have sparked significant interest in anti-tumor therapy via responding to the tumor microenvironment (TME). However, the consequent induction of protective autophagy substantially compromises the therapeutic efficacy. Here, a targeted nanozyme system (Fe-Arg-CDs@ZIF-8/HAD, FZH) is shown, which enhances synergistic anti-tumor ferroptosis/apoptosis therapy by leveraging machine learning (ML).
