Background: Workplace Age Discrimination Experienced (WADE) can be disorientating and detrimental to well-being. Hence, older employees would like to avoid it, but those who experience it may discriminate against their older peers. WADE may be associated with Age Discrimination of Peers (ADP), and this relationship can be moderated by Occupational Health Literacy (OHL).

Arterial hypertension is one of the most prevalent diseases in the field of geriatrics and is also a risk factor for pathologies that frequently result in hospital admissions, such as heart failure and stroke. This article addresses both pharmacological and non-pharmacological diagnosis and treatment strategies, focusing on the role of frailty as a guiding principle in determining the most appropriate course of treatment, emphasizing patient-centred prescribing. Furthermore, the article reviews other frequent topics, such as polypharmacy and orthostatic hypotension.

Introduction: Those aged 80 years and over are the fastest-growing sector of the Australian population but are often excluded from research. Oldest old people living alone, in disadvantaged neighbourhoods, and with ill health or dementia, face additional barriers that may hinder their participation in research.
Methods: This paper contributes timely critical commentary on methodological and ethical approaches to engaging under-represented people in research.

Many countries are experiencing a post-pandemic surge in hospital utilization along with accelerating population aging. Maximal hospital efficiency is required, with utilization evidence essential for identifying appropriate hospital or broader health system reforms. We offer an investigation of the most recent pre-COVID year (2019-2020) of complete population-based hospital utilization data to describe and compare the use of hospitals by older (65+) and younger (0-64) people admitted for inpatient services in Canada.
