Although the existing FeO-based microwave absorbing materials (MAMs) have shown promising microwave absorbing (MA) capacity, it is highly desired but still remains a great challenge to achieve strong minimum reflection loss (RL) and broad effective frequency bandwidth () at an ultralow filler loading. Herein, for the first time, by carbonizing hierarchical poly(urea-formaldehyde) microcapsules with FeO nanoparticle cores in a nitrogen atmosphere, FeO hybrid and N-doped hollow carbon microspheres (FeO/CMs) with a hierarchical micro/nanostructure are prepared on a large scale and at a low cost to achieve extremely superior MA performances. Benefitting from their unique structure and diverse composition, which synergetically contribute to good impedance matching, strong dielectric/magnetic loss, and abundant multiscattering/reflection, FeO/CM composites possessed a RL value reaching -60.3 dB and an of as broad as 6.4 GHz (7.2-13.6 GHz, covering the full X-band) at an ultralow filler loading of 10 wt % in paraffin wax, which are significantly superior to those of the previously reported state-of-the-art FeO-based or hollow MAMs. Furthermore, the can be adjusted in the range of 4.5-18 GHz, covering 85% of the whole measured frequency range, via changing the thickness between 2.5 and 5.5 mm. This work offers new insights for developing advanced lightweight MAMs with strong absorption and a broad absorbing frequency range at a low filler loading.

Most previously reported susceptors for microwave welding are in powder form. In this study, a thin-film susceptor was employed due to its uniform heating rate and ease of handling. Silicon carbide nanowhisker (SiCNW) were incorporated into a poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) matrix to create a nanocomposite thin film, which served as the susceptor.

Presently, researchers are placing emphasis on microwave absorption coating design while neglecting the research on materials that integrate both microwave absorption performance and mechanical properties. Here, robust FeSiAl/PEEK composites were prepared by a series process, including post ball-milling annealing, sol-gel method, and hot pressing. A detailed analysis of the electromagnetic (EM) parameters reveals the significant effects of morphology, filling ratio, and microstructure of FeSiAl on EM losses under a wide-temperature range.

The significance of three-dimensional (3D) bioprinting in the domain of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering is readily apparent. To create a multi-functional bioinspired structure, 3D bioprinting requires high-performance bioinks. Bio-inks refer to substances that encapsulate viable cells and are employed in the printing procedure to construct 3D objects progressive through successive layers.

Objectives: To compare the stress distribution and crack propagation in cracked mandibular first molar restored with onlay, overlay, and two types of occlusal veneers using two different CAD/CAM materials by Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Materials And Methods: A mandibular first molar was digitized using a micro CT scanning system in 2023. Three-dimensional dynamic scan data were transformed, and a 3D model of a cracked tooth was generated.
