While culture in emergency management has gained attention from the field of risk communication, few have systemically dealt with the nuances of general culture involved in the formation and differentiation of risk communication. To fill this gap, this research aims to first examine cultural nuances from the 2016 Louisiana flood response by primarily focusing on communications embedded in social media. The results from social network analysis and content analysis highlight that the flood response communication had strong cultural characteristics, highlighting the notion that of the cultures in Louisiana-faith-based, local authority, and nonprofits-were the prominent cultural responders in the flood response communication. In particular, cultural similarity in both intra/inter group response communication was observed, with each communication group comprising actors who shared a common cultural background and spoke similar keywords.

Plants and microorganisms coexist within complex ecosystems, significantly influencing agricultural productivity. Depending on the interaction between the plant and microbes, this interaction can either help or harm plant health. Microbes interact with plants by secreting proteins that influence plant cells, producing bioactive compounds like antibiotics or toxins, and releasing molecules such as N-acyl homoserine lactones to coordinate their behaviour.

In this paper, explore the effectiveness of a new Wide Area Fuzzy Power System Stabilizer (WAFPSS), optimized using the Exponential Distribution Optimization (EDO) algorithm, and applied to an IEEE three-area, six-machine power system model. This research primarily focuses on assessing the stabilizer's capability to dampen inter-area oscillations, a critical challenge in power grid operations. Through extensive simulations, the study demonstrates how the WAFPSS enhances stability and reliability under a variety of operational conditions characterized by different communication delay patterns.

Background: Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, telemedicine emerged as an important option that supports and facilitates clinical practice, however, its usefulness in emergency settings that treat patients with cancer is unclear.
Objective: To evaluate patient perception of physician empathy in an emergency oncology setting, comparing video interaction to an in-person with personal protective equipment (PPE) approach.
Methods: In this single-center, prospective, cross-sectional, survey-based randomized controlled trial, patients were randomized 1:1 for the concluding conversation done in-person which included either interacting with physicians wearing PPE or video interaction with physicians without PPE (virtual).

A 24-30 Centiloid (CL) threshold was collectively considered by a group of global dementia experts as a practical and implementable cut-off for anti-amyloid therapy intervention, in Alzheimer's disease patients who have been diagnosed at the mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia stage of their disease. Though additional validation is needed, knowledge of this threshold would be valuable to those involved in diagnosing and treating patients in the new AD care pathways, as well as entry into clinical trials. Therapy monitoring to determine future treatment response and assess amyloid clearance can be accomplished with amyloid PET with some technical details still to be elucidated.

Background And Objectives: Professionals who work or study in transfusion medicine under 40 years of age are considered young professionals (YPs) by the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT). While the ISBT provides opportunities for YPs, their needs have to be assessed to customize initiatives in a way that could potentially improve their engagement. This survey aimed to assess the needs of YPs in transfusion medicine and understand their perspectives on future ISBT initiatives.
