Changes in mucosal microvascular networks, called intraepithelial papillary capillary loops (IPCL), are an important key factor for diagnosing early-stage oral cancer Nevertheless, there are a lack of tools to quantify these changes objectively. This is the first study to quantify the IPCL changes to differentiate benign or malignant oral lesions by the optical coherence tomography (OCT) technique. K14-EGFP-miR-211-GFP transgenic mice were inducted by 4-Nitroquinoline-1-oxide to produce oral carcinogenesis in different stages, including normal, premalignancy and cancer. The results showed significant differentiation between benign or malignant lesions by OCT quantitative parameters, including epithelial thickness, IPCL density, radius and tortuosity.

Background: Guidelines specify steroids as therapy for acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD). However, the duration of survival benefit associated with steroids and the optimal dosage of nebulized budesonide (NB) during hospitalization remain unclear.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective study of hospitalized AECOPD patients.

Liquid biopsy is an innovative, minimally invasive diagnostic tool revolutionizing cancer management by enabling the detection and analysis of cancer-related biomarkers from bodily fluids such as blood, urine, or cerebrospinal fluid. Unlike traditional tissue biopsies, which require invasive procedures, liquid biopsy offers a more accessible and repeatable method for tracking cancer progression, detecting early-stage cancers, and monitoring therapeutic responses. The technology primarily focuses on analyzing circulating tumor cells (CTCs), circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), and other cancer-derived genetic materials.

Objective: The global incidence and burden of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) are increasing annually, with current antidepressant treatments proving ineffective for 30-40% of patients. Biomolecular mechanisms within the microbiota-gut-brain axis (MGBA) may significantly contribute to MDD, potentially paving the way for novel treatment approaches. However, integrating the MGBA with the psychological and environmental aspects of MDD remains challenging.

Background: Accurate differentiation between benign and malignant endometrial lesions holds substantial clinical importance. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of various diffusion models in the preoperative diagnosis of early-stage endometrial carcinoma (EC).
Methods: A total of 72 consecutive patients with benign or malignant endometrial lesions from the First People's Hospital of Yunnan Province were prospectively enrolled between April 2021 and July 2023.
