: To determine the predictive value of plasma soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase 1 (sFlt-1) and placental growth factor (PlGF) ratio for detection of preeclampsia in elderly gravida at 16-18 weeks of gestation and to identify whether abnormalities of this ratio are associated with any other pregnancy complications or not.: Blood samples of 300 cases were collected. Plasma sFlt-1 and PlGF levels were measured using an automated immunoassay.: Sensitivity and specificity for plasma sFlt-1/PlGF ratio above 9.8 for preeclampsia prediction were 85.7% and 61.2%, respectively. The sensitivity and specificity to predict early onset preeclampsia were 100% and 61.1%, respectively. Women with abnormal plasma sFlt-1/PlGF ratio were not associated with any other pregnancy complications.: sFlt-1/PlGF ratio at 16-18 weeks of gestation in elderly gravida has a high sensitivity for predicting preeclampsia, especially early onset preeclampsia.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the impact of integrating obstetric parameters into the Fracture Risk Assessment Tool (FRAX) on the precision of risk assessment.
Patients And Methods: In this retrospective study, patients who experienced postmenopausal fragility fractures of the distal radius, proximal femur, or lumbar vertebrae between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2023, were included. Obstetric histories, along with standard FRAX parameters, were obtained by phone interviews.
In 2018, the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) introduced acetic acid visual inspection (AAVI) screening program and treatment of cervical precancers with cryotherapy in replacement of Pap smear intervention in Namibia. The study examines the effective use of AAVI-and-cryotherapy treatment on HPV-diagnosed women. Female patients of the reproductive age (20-49 years) group visiting 2 Namibian healthcare facilities for AAVI and cryotherapy treatment were investigated using a cross-sectional approach.

Background: Considering the paucity of data, we aimed to describe nationwide time trends in antithrombotic therapy during pregnancy and risks of maternal and perinatal outcomes in the Netherlands.
Methods: In this nationwide cohort study, all female individuals aged 16-45 years with delivery records in the Dutch perinatal registry between Jan 1, 2013, and Dec 31, 2019, and their infants, were included. Individually linked data from Statistics Netherlands on outpatient medication prescriptions, in-hospital diagnoses, and mortality were used to evaluate time trends in antithrombotic therapy during pregnancy, and risks of maternal and perinatal outcomes (including thromboembolism, bleeding, preeclampsia and eclampsia, and low birthweight).
