Sperm cryopreservation is widely used in assisted reproductive technology (ART) and livestock breeding. Although sperm cryopreservation accelerates breeding, the quality of cryopreserved sperm tends to be decreased. Improving the quality of frozen sperm is a hot topic, and spirulina polysaccharide, known for its immunomodulatory and antioxidant properties, is considered a promising natural extract for extensive studies.

Pt(IV) complexes as prodrugs of Pt(II) drugs exhibit numerous advantages such as enhanced stability, reduced toxicity, increased oral bioavailability, and efficacy in overcoming the drug resistance of Pt(II) compounds, which underscore their significant potential in the advancement of novel Pt anticancer agents. Furthermore, protective autophagy is pivotal in sustaining tumor cell homeostasis and modulating the tumor microenvironment (TME), thereby representing a critical target for the development of antitumor drugs. Specific inhibition or activation of autophagy during chemotherapy would break the internal homeostasis in the TME and increase antitumor activities.

The design and synthesis of new mid-infrared functional crystals with novel structures and excellent properties is a hot topic in the materials science research field. Different from the traditional mid-far infrared crystal systems, such as chalcogenides and phosphides, a recently developed heavy metal oxyhalide, with a wide bandgap and transmittance range, is a very promising mid-infrared crystal material research system. Herein, the first case of a salt-inclusion compound in lead oxyhalides, CsPbOI (3PbOI·2CsI), has been synthesized by a high-temperature solution method.

Efficient, non-destructive and real-time meat freshness assessment has always been a hot research topic. This paper presents a novel approach for detecting lamb meat freshness using a flexible optoelectronic sensing system combined with an integrated learning model. We developed a flexible impedance sensing system and a flexible optical sensing system through laser direct writing and transfer technology.
